Vanessa recently commissioned a new song from the Anglo Irish composer Mel Moore which she premiered as part of a lunchtime recital at Southwark Cathedral. The piece is set to the text of Verlaine’s poem “Clair de Lune” and is for voice and piano. Mel skilfully created the magical landscape of the text and reflected its impressionism in his choice of timbre and tonalities. |

Vanessa will shortly be commissioning another piece from Mel for voice, organ and cello which will be performed at another major London venue. |
